Wild Idea Buffalo is a family-owned business grounded in preserving and restoring the Great Plains by returning buffalo back to their native homeland. Founder Dan O'Brien tries to keep his bison herd as wild as possible. He notes that, in addition to bison, healthy prairies are home to 2,095 species of amphibians, reptiles, mammals, butterflies, birds, grasses, edges and wildflowers.
