Stemple Creek Ranch
Model Carbon Farm
Stemple Creek Ranch gives ranch tours, hosts Farm-to-Table dinners, and is available for weddings and private events. Besides being a great place to visit, Stemple Creek is one of three test cases for a 10-year study with the Marin Carbon Project.
Soil Centric's Pro Tip
Stemple Creek beef is served at one of America's most legendary restaurants, Chez Panisse. According to Chez Panisse owner and Soil Centric Advisor, Alice Waters, "Chez Panisse serves Stemple Creek Ranch beef because it is delicious and because it is grass-fed and finished on certified organic pasture nearby in Tomales, California. The ranch is participating in the Marin Carbon Project which studies carbon sequestration techniques on working ranches in the north Bay Area with the goal of managing pasture land that naturally captures carbon from the atmosphere. We are grateful to be working with Loren and Lisa Poncia who are committed to regenerative ranching and to producing tasty, sustainable meats."
