Southeastern African American Farmers’ Organic Network
SAAFON is working to grow and strengthen a network of Black farmers in the Southeastern United States. They do this by working to ensure the economic viability and prosperity of Black farmers who are committed to ecologically sustainable production practices; advocating for an equitable and just food and farm system, and promoting the links among Black farming, Black culture and Black history.
Soil Centric's Pro Tip
SAAFON helps bridge the generations sharing the wisdom of elders with aspiring farmers. They can also help you develop your
farm plan, help you adopt ecologically sustainable production methods and can provide emergency funding (subject to availability).
