Poultry-Centered Regenerative Agriculture System

The Main Street Project (MSP) through its 100-acre R&D, training and demonstration farm located in Northfield, MN is dedicated to promoting soil carbon sequestration and lifting farm workers out of poverty. Building on a poultry-centric regenerative system and economy building model, Main Street seeks to influence change across the MN landscape.

Soil Centric's Pro Tip

If you live in a place where the economy needs a jump start, consider turning things around with chickens. As the founder and CEO of the Regenerative Agriculture Alliance, Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin, will tell you, "Chickens are key because, in part, they are a one-stop, weed-eating, bug-killing, soil-enhancing replacement for counter-productive synthetic pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers." Capital inputs are low and you get eggs, meat, perennial crops and loads of fertilizer to grow grains, vegetables and restore carbon and life to the soil! The Regenerative Agriculture Alliance is currently bringing together support systems and development infrastructure to launch and scale regenerative poultry operations in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Iowa, Guatemala, Mexico and British Columbia.
