Ecological Urban Farm Rooted In Justice

Sundance Harvest is a food justice centered, urban farm located in Toronto, Ontario. Sundance Harvest strives to provide resources, knowledge and guidance for youth who are marginalized within the food system to start their own food and land sovereignty movements, create their own urban farming practice and to eradicate institutionalized racism within the food system. Sundance Harvest runs a free urban agriculture mentorship program called Growing in the Margins, which nurtures and grows the farm projects of BIPOC, LGBTQ2S and youth with disabilities from seed to harvest. Growing in the Margins is offered in person and virtually.

Soil Centric's Pro Tip

Sundance Harvest currently offers a paid apprenticeship (April-November 2021). The apprenticeship is heavily focused around education and ensuring that apprentices have the skills and confidence to start up their own farm once they complete their apprenticeship. Black, Indigenous and Persons of Colour highly encouraged to apply.
